For my fellow WA fishing enthusiasts: please note that the 2018-2019 fishing regulations have been posted. A soft copy can be downloaded in PDF, from the following website: https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/regulations/
I know that the idea behind the soft copies is that people won’t need as many paper copies. Unfortunately, my “smart”phone does not have a very large screen, so I need at least one copy that I can more easily scan through…right? Then, of course, there is the fact that my truck would feel slighted if it didn’t get a copy to keep in the console, for quick reference when suddenly stopping at a road-side sign for a body of water that looks like it could…maybe…hold at least one lost and hungry fish somewhere within it. Would not do to spend hours flogging a stream, only to land both a small trout AND a Game Warden’s citation, for fishing in a no-go zone, right?
I know that they are also pushing the Fish WA app, which seems to have been seriously upgraded and expanded to include some very nice features, compared to previous versions. Sadly, my “smart”phone is not on the list that the app has been designed to work with.
Maybe I’ll catch a nicer phone, some day…
Tight lines!
