• Notes: River calming down from hitting approximately 1400cfs, 3 days prior. No fish observed.

• Weather Conditions: Bright with occasional cloudiness. Mild wind with rare gusts.
• Flies Used: #12 Mayfly Parachute/Mayfly tails and #12 Burnt Orange Stimulator
• Notes: Extensive Cased Caddis found in Little Naches. Mayfly activity on the surface (egg laying). No fish observed in either river until later in the afternoon on the Little Naches, once I switched to the Stimmy. Half dozen young trout caught in 30 minutes, on the stimmy.

• Notes: No fish observed, but the water was cold and fast. Only had a few minutes, though, so perhaps not representative off this river.

• Weather Conditions: Bright with occasional cloudiness. Very mild breeze.
• Flies Used: #12 Burnt Orange Stimulator, #14 Parachute Adams, #12 Sparkle Dun, #18 Adams-ish with mayfly tails.
• Notes: Extensive Cased Caddis, still. Mayfly activity on the surface (egg laying). No fish observed in either river until within an hour of sundown, then Mayfly hatch and spinner fall. Active surface feeding in the same pool as previous success, with some fish caught on mostly Stimmy and Adams (P).

• This was a stop just to check water clarity and level, given the USGS flow report of roughly 325cfs.
• At this water level, the tailout from the riffles becomes significantly more calm, allowing for a fairly clean drift of a dry fly, even when cast up to the base of the riffle.

• Notes: Fish on the Stimulator and Spinner, refusals on the Adams and Caddis, with Hare’s Ear ignored.

• Notes: High concentration of families with kids in and around the river (rock throwing into water, etc) appeared to lead to fish having been put down and staying in hiding during my entire visit. Only activity (on Stimulator) from very small fish.
