It has gotten to that part of the year where moving waters, insects, and the fish that pursue them find their way into my thoughts with increasing regularity.
Close enough that scouting the conditions in regular fishing spots, with the narrowest of hopes that there might be signs of melt and a return to better temperatures, manages to occupy my mind when making the short-hop flights to/from SeaTac.
A recent trip also offered one of those rare afternoons where the view off to the horizon was clear enough to catch 4 of our volcanic neighbors in one view.
Mt. Rainier on the near-right, with what is left of St. Helens in the distance beyond. On the left, there is Mt. Adams with (if you really zoom in) Mt. Hood just to the right of it.
Always love those moments of peace and reflection, when they present themselves. Strong reminders that nothing we humans do could match what the world around us does in the course it takes.
Rainier, as our closest member of this team, is a constant companion on my fishing trips, even when not immediately visible from a given location.
Of course…on the return flight, the weather offered it’s contribution to the impact of nature.
Yeah…thank you for the necessary “Shovel-ercize” that this requires.
Still, some excellent morning and evening skies, these past few days.
Not that long to go…
Tight lines.
