Camera Tinkering

I just wanted to share a few pics from recent days, taken just as the opportunities presented themselves.

The majority of the trees and plants on the property have come back from their rough year without watering.

Sadly, I am resigned to the fact that the Dragon Willows, Dogwood, Weeping Cherry, and the standard Cherry all appear to not be leafing out, at all. I guess the old Cherry will make for good charcoal, though, so I may finally build that coal kiln I have saved plans for, all these years.

There have also been some really impressive nighttime skies, although trying to coax the camera or my “smart”phone to properly capture those shots has been … troublesome.

Last night, though, had a 99.9% full moon rising with some interesting cloud cover and the last remnants of sunset coloring it.

All reminders of how blessed we are to live in this spot.

Soon…I will be adding some warmer-weather views of my fly fishing scouting. Just over 31 days until the season kicks off, so it is crunch time to identify the changes in my go-to spots and maybe find some new ones to add to the “must try” list.

Until then…

Tight lines…
