If you’re one of the few that have followed this blog since at least late 2021, you’ve probably seen me reference the concerning diagnosis I once received from my optometrist.
Yesterday was my first visit to a new office, prompted by our relocating to the Houston area, so I approached it with some trepidation. A new professional taking a look at something I had not been able to have checked for more than a year having the distinct possibility of a concerning result.

Thankfully, when reviewing the imagery, my new optometrist flatly stated that if I had not forewarned him of my previous diagnosis, there was nothing in the imagery that would have suggested he pursue that as a concern.
I’ll take that as a win!
In fact, almost no change in my prescription in the past 4 years so this ends up really just being an appointment for a nicer pair of glasses!

I’m looking forward to finding or creating more opportunities to get out into nature and make use of the gift of vision more frequently. As always, these appointments serve as a wonderful reminder of what I am blessed to have, when others may not be so fortunate.
