One more quick post.
I forgot that I had managed some pics (and a brief video!) of an excellent moonrise, a couple of days before our trip. Just wanted to share a few, in sequence.

I was concerned that they sky had gotten too hazy, but that glow seemed to suggest it would work out.

The initial edge does not, for some reason, properly register, drawing it too far into the bright whites.

From here, it properly caught the tint of the low-angle atmosphere and the contrast with the orchard structures, across the canyon from us.

Nice evening to just hang out on the deck with my dog, and soak up the breeze, the view, and the sounds of the night.
Tight lines…
