There are milestones you reach that invoke various reactions, in the course of life. I have to admit that this one, 90 days left in the fishing season, often makes me anxious or regretful, each year.
This year, however, I’ve done some great fishing in beautiful locations, some of outside of the region (thanks, again, KK!), and I know there is more yet to come. As a result, it pops up on my phone with more of a peaceful recollection of what has already happened, than anything else.
If anything, it makes me think of what flies I will focus on tying, when the normal season ends.
Good to have a plan, to keep busy, and stay engaged. Also, great to have pictures and memories of the high notes to look back on, when the winter gets cold and the night dominates the waking hours of a long day…
Tight lines.
