Long month…

It has been a long December, in terms of work and pushing for progress on our home, but at least we are drawing near to Christmas.

With 4 straight weeks of business travel (Phoenix, LV, LA, Denver), it’s been tiring and more than a bit stressful. On the lighter side, I have managed to capture some interesting (I think) pictures, along the way.

Mt. Saint Helens, on the way back from LA.

And my favorite of this set of trips…

We might take a look at transferring this to canvas, and putting it up somewhere, image resolution permitting.

Of course, as is often the case this time of year in some of the more … interesting? … airport, there have also been ample opportunities for oddity spotting, as well.

Thank you, Denver

Given that the second was in SeaTac, I probably should not have been surprised. Between there and the occasional layover in Portland, the sightings of adults (at least in age) wearing full-body, furry animal pajamas is not altogether unheard of.

Insurance finally issued funds for the repairs on our home, almost 4 months after the lightning strike, so there is a glimmer of hope and progress.

Now, if I could just get the company that is performing the remediation on our household goods to actually give us back our books, kitchenwares, and other items, we would be in better shape.

We had snow falling, last night, and enough on the ground in the morning to get our daughter a day off from her classes (Yay!).

True to form, however, the forecast for today calls for low 50’s and a strong chance of rain… Little chance of a White Christmas this year, but worse things have happened.

I hope everyone seeing this, and also those that don’t, have a wonderful Christmas and an Excellent New Year.

As they say; May the best of your past be the worst of your future.

Tight lines…

    1. Me, too! Long wait, but essentially a new home when it’s done.

Do try to stay out of trouble, brother!
