This morning, even more so than the previous morning, was an amazing display of color. The sunrise looked promising, with the gappy but widely distributed cloud cover, but I had no idea just how exceptional it would end up.

The gentler color blending of the morning is always a welcome and soothing sight. It did not, however, take long for this to evolve into something even more special.

Shortly after that point, as the rays of the sun began to get to an angle that allowed the color to accelerate it’s spread, I could look in any part of the sky, and find pink or red cloud highlights, and the horizon really took off.
