For the first time in almost a decade, I do not own a truck.
Kind of an odd feeling. Also kind of odd that I had not expected this would strike me as “odd,” too.
I guess all the times I used my truck to get out into nature, to haul various things, and to move (more than we’d like), really worked it’s way into my perception of normalcy.
Ended up finding an SUV that has the same engine as my last truck, so apart form the lack of an open bed, it will be able to haul the travel trailer and keep the family in better comfort while doing it. It also has enough seating for us to take friends out into nature with us, when that ramps back up.
All good. Just … “odd.”
As I am certain you have noticed, I’ve gotten into wine quite a bit. I won’t bore you with comments about “the nose,” “the palate,” or other aspects of bottles I’ve tried … but I will call out a very nice visual touch I came across this past week.
What a nice touch to add to the cork.
Some great growth on the land, this past week, as well, and yet more wildlife visiting to share in it.
Some shots I can get from the window next to my desk, making a small break from work, when they present themselves.
Others have to be searched for a bit more…
Also nice that we have no sub-freezing nights left in the forecast, at this point. I am hoping to see some signs of life from the last few trees that had not pushed out growth last weekend, but have a plan for replacement, if they don’t. I’ve avoided looking since last Sunday, and plan to walk them all tomorrow afternoon, so I can see as much contrast as possible.
With the clearing skies of the seasonal changes, we don’t get sunrises that are as complex as those I have caught in photos, recently, but still a great start to a beautiful day.
41 Days, and a few hours, until Fly Fishing. I may have to introduce the new vehicle to that main drive, and scout a bit.
Tight lines…
